Welcome

Howdy and welcome to the Elizabeth McCormick Photography blog. I'm Elizabeth, an on location photographer of babies, children and families. I am located in Wilmington, Delaware, however, I do travel to locations such as Baltimore all the way up to the NJ shore.

Through this blog I hope to give you a glimpse of what I've been up to and a better idea of who I am. You'll see sneak peeks of sessions and also tidbits into my own personal wild and crazy life.

Thanks for visiting. I hope you enjoy your time here!

Sisters

I don’t often photograph outside during the bleak & chilly winter months. However, for this session I was fortunate to have lovely subjects, a 60 degree day (in January!) and a photographer’s dream of a location. The session was held at the quaint & charming Sweetwater Farm Bed and Breakfast in the historic Brandywine Valley. I was in heaven with the fieldstone Manor House, Grace Winery in the newly renovated barn, gorgeous landscaping and livestock on the grounds. My breathtaking subjects decided to surprise their folks with long overdue updated portraits. It was such a pleasure meeting these two bright and talented women. Makes me wish I was blessed with a sister of my own. Sigh…

Katie + Nick 12/17/11

Congratulations to the most wonderful couple! Katie & Nick had a chilly, but lovely wedding day. It even flurried a bit (they say snow is a sign of fertility and prosperity). The amazing event was held in charming Lancaster County at the historic Inn at Leola Village. Katie was an absolutely breathtaking bride and Nick positively dapper! The love for each other and from their families was abundant. Thank you for allowing myself and the talented Sue from Sue B Photography to capture & be a part of your extraordinary day!I just had to show this small, yet significant detail. A gift from the best man who happens to be another shutterbug! The stunning bridesmaids. The handsome groomsmen.Just the boys and dad.A quiet moment before walking down the aisle.

Almost time…

Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness!

Hate Shopping?

And still searching for that perfect gift? Well, look no further – gift certificates from Elizabeth McCormick Photography are sure to please! Plus from now until December 20th received a bonus $100 print credit with every $250 purchase. Can’t be any easier than that!Yep, this is my Brian with his holidays mixed up. He’s been wearing this St. Patrick’s Day hat round the clock since 2010. I wonder how long it will last…

Gorgeous

Both my subject and the weather were absolutely breathtaking this afternoon. Who would have thought late November would bring a day in the mid sixties with a soft cloud covering? I also thoroughly enjoyed having an adult conversation and not sprinting around like a lunatic during the session! Those boots – love, love ‘em!It was a pleasure meeting you. Best of luck as you embark upon many adventures!

Still Spunky

It’s such a thrill to enter a client’s home and see my art hung lovingly on their walls. Mom has a knack for decorating and displayed last year’s images fabulously. While the children are a year older, they are still the same gorgeous and spunky kiddos I adored last fall!Grandmom & Granddad stopped by and I simply had to have them in front of my camera as well. Such a warm and caring family!

Soccer Stars

I can definitely relate to this busy family who were going directly from our photo shoot to a soccer game. Seems like that’s all I did in the month of October – take pictures and go to soccer! Besides being athletes, there is plenty of musical talent in this wonderful family. So neat to hear about it. It was a pleasure meeting all of you!More to come…

A Whole Lotta Love

What more can I say? These children are blessed with amazing parents who think the world of them. They are beautiful, easy going and so much fun to be around. I hope you enjoy the sneak peek!A big shout out to grandmom, Mrs. K – you have such wonderful daughters and grandchildren! I simply adore watching them grow.

Brave Sisters

This tough trio braved the cold, wet and soggy outdoors the day following that freak snowstorm in October. While these images may look sunny and warm, it was still quite chilly. The promise of a delicious chocolate doughnut afterward can sure bring out the smiles. YUMMY!Such lovely ladies!

Daddy Too

Last year I photographed this little man and mom together as a surprise for dear old dad. It was a lovely session and so easy to capture the special bond they have. This year I had the pleasure of meeting dad and photographing all three together! So sweet!

Juggling

This session was a bit tricky to get on the books with this family’s busy schedule and my own. But I sure wouldn’t miss our annual photo shoot! The new addition is adorable and bigger ones so grown up. Enjoy! What a cool dude!
